Jesse Engelberg is a Data Scientist at Patreon, a company dedicated to helping creators get paid through membership. He creates analyses and partners with Product Managers to help improve all aspects of the product, from the way content is delivered and consumed, to the mobile app, to how members can discover new creators they love.
Jesse has worked within a variety of industries, including consumer health, healthcare, cancer biology, moving and storage, fresh produce financing, and now the creator economy. He is passionate about helping creators earn a living from their art, and about fans building a meaningful relationship with their favorite creators. He has a love of mentorship and teaching, both at Patreon, through volunteer efforts, and during his education.
Jesse received his undergraduate in computer science from Amherst College and his PhD in Bioengineering from the Joint Graduate Group at UCSF/UC Berkeley, where he found a love of working as a TA. Since then he’s lived in Sacramento, Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, where he currently resides with his wife Julia and the two most amazing cats in the entire world, Samson and Romeo.
