Saki Markovic is working for the largest Nordic independent record label Playground Music where she has overseen social media and digital marketing across the Nordics for the past three years. Before joining Playground Music, she spent several years at Universal Music Sweden. Saki is a marketing expert with experience working with many artists, both locally and internationally. Some of the artists she has worked with are Mando Diao, Smith & Thell, Robyn and Tove Lo. Saki comes from a legal background with a master’s in law from Stockholm University specializing in intellectual property law. She has recently wrapped an EU-funded research project called FuturePulse where she was leading the record label use case and pilot testing providing the project with input and expertise from a record label and music industry perspective. The project aimed to create an interactive platform for music companies to leverage a variety of music data and content through sophisticated analytics and predictive models.
